Two Belgian greats have linked up to create a mesmerizing collaborative project. Some the most notable names in their respective genres, and have joined forces to fashion a new piece that is both proundly intimate and instantly accessible. Together, the pair perfect the art unifying deep house with drum and bass by combining their musical talents to form a carefully constructed rhythmic masterpiece titled “Here With You,” to be included on the deluxe edition Lost Frequencies’ debut album Less Is More, out July 14.
Lost Frequencies — real name Felix De Laet — has been a consistent favorite in the deep house scene since his colossal hit “Are You With Me” was released in August 2014. Ever since, the widely-renowned DJ has been enticing the house world with a series multi-platinum singles and international performances. The artist just wrapped up a heated run on ‘ Memories: Do Not Open Tour, and is now prepping for a string international festival appearances.
Legendary drum & bass producer Netsky is widely-known as a maestro, celebrated for mixing layered instrumentation with bone-shaking bass-lines. His “Netsky LIVE!” project that he initiated in 2012 has been a consistent success, and beautifully melds the live performance realm with his gratifying brand drum and bass that has made Netsky a globally-recognized name.
As for “Here With You,” it only takes one listen to recognize the beauty surrounding the tune. Leading in with swooning guitar tones, the song blends together yearning vocals, infectious percussion, and lustful energy before building up into a frenetic bass-fueled drop – leaving no room for subtlety. Altogether, the track is elegant, impactful, and slays conventional genre boundaries with ease.
The compelling part about this anthem is that despite the uniquely recognizable sections contributed by each producer, their work results in a beautifully cohesive piece. For this release, “Here With You” finds its home among the more cutting-edge sounds today’s global dance music scene.
