Oftentimes, life out on the road isn’t always what it seems. Sometimes, it’s not as glamorous as the flashing lights, thumping bass, and Instagram pictures make it seem. After wrapping up 23 dates on Skizzy Mars’ Are You OK? tour, the tour’s rhetorical namesake actually became a ble question for supporting act and bowl-cut champion, Oliver Tree.
Be warned, there’s some sensitive material in this iPhone b-roll that was not meant to get out to the public. The film highlights Tree’s disastrous debut US tour, and the abusive nature of touring life behind the scenes. Fame hits people differently — this raw documentary footage acts as a PSA for all the crew members, production personnel, and team players who are sick and tired of being physically abused by their social media superiors. Likes are one thing, but Oliver Tree took it too far on this tour.
Atlantic Records can’t be happy about this one.
