Tinlicker rework alt-J classic 'Breezeblocks' and announce debut album, 'This is Not Our Universe'

Anjunabeats duo Tinlicker and their groove-heavy progressive takes have quickly established a formidable presence in the dance circuit with refreshing reworks of tracks like Gabriel & Dresden‘s “Underwater” and Reflekt‘s “Need to Feel Loved” that have since become dance floor staples. Now, the Dutch act have announced the release of their debut artist album, This is Not Our Universe, its accompanying tour, and the second single from their forthcoming LP, a remix of alt-J‘s “Breezeblocks.”

The follow-up to “Lost” featuring Run Rivers, the “Breezeblocks” rework infuses signature Tinlicker elements of house groove and progressive vibrancy into the classic indie song. The long-awaited remix transforms alt-J’s platinum-selling hit from their 2012 LP An Awesome Wave into a signature Tinlicker sonic palette.

“We’re both fans of alt-J. We had the idea of creating a completely different and unique vibe from the original, and the track has been a highlight in our sets over the past months. We are also very happy that alt-J themselves were happy for us to release this version,” the duo stated in a press release.

This is Not Our Universe will be released Sept. 27 on Anjunabeats. The LP will be available on streaming, download, vinyl, and CD that comes in a collector’s edition tin case.
