Dua Lipa immerses viewers in party-fueled journey through new 'Don't Start Now' music video
Dua Lipa has unleashed her next music video for single “Don’t Start Now,” in which viewers observe the artist finding her way through a party-filled evening.
The groovy tune is an easy listen with Dua Lipa’s smooth vocals and its simplistic pop backdrop. The music video adds a splash of color and edge to “Don’t Start Now,” as the artist performs in a bar, then finds herself engulfed by interesting characters in a crowded club. She walks from scene to scene, including a themed 19th century ball with paintings that come to life. She is chased out of the ball back down to the club, dazed and confused as the intense scenery continues on around her.
She comments on the song in an official release, stating, “I chose to put this song out first so I could close one chapter of my life and start another. Into a new era with a new sound! It’s about moving on and not allowing anyone to get in the way of that. It also felt like a natural first song choice as I made it with the brilliant same crew I made ‘New Rules’ with.”
