Maude Latour – Starsick EP – EDM All Day

Meet Maude Latour, the pensive pop starlet behind the bubbly hit “Superfruit.” A current Columbia student, Maude has just put the finishing touches on her debut ‘Starsick’ EP where she explores the nuances of love and its nearly always inevitable heartache. There’s a distinct influence from singer/songwriter’s past, with shades of Lorde and Marina spun up into Maude’s unique, melancholic odyssey. Her flawless choral harmonies define much of the EP, carefully laying the foundation for a bed of heartache laced vocals. It’s the old adage – “don’t cry because its over, smile because it happened” brought to life over the course of this 6-track pressing that culminates with “Lovesick,” a stunning send off that recounts the entire stretch of puppy love, and heartbreak’s power to define who we are and who we become.
