Maceo Plex is back on Drumcode with astral EP, 'Destination Mars' [Stream]

2019 is almost over, but Maceo Plex isn’t even close to done. Alongside Josh Wink, he just released a new EP on Adam Beyer‘s royal techno label, Drumcode, this time with two remixes from Raxon and Shall Ocin, respectively.

Just a few months ago in September, Maceo Plex—real name Eric Estornel— had a remix on Drumcode of CJ Bolland and The Advent’s undisputed rave classic, “Camargue.” Now he is back at the helm, guiding his listener on an interstellar excursion to the planet endowed with the name of the Roman god of war.

A master of sonic imagery, Estornel paints the picture of a mission gone wrong, encountering hostile forces, and failing to reach the final destination. The remixes provide a detour from the impending doom, but only for a brief moment.
