TroyBoi returns to form on 'Mmmm' – EDM All Day
TroyBoi‘s recent track, the mellow Adekunle Gold-assisted “Tranquilzer,” is a stylistic departure for the OWSLA-signee. The spacey track proved his versatility as an artist, but it didn’t take long to return to his signature style. “Mmmm” sees TroyBoi return to his cornerstone trap trappings while breaking new ground with a dash of on-target onomatopoeia. Sharp percussion accentuates a gritty bass line as a flurry of playful vocals round out the tune. It’s TroyBoi at his inimitable best: high-spirited trap music with a sharp edge that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The latest single is released Elysian Records, and comes complete with visuals courtesy of frequent OWSLA collaborator Vacades. It shouldn’t be long before “Mmmm” is rocking worldwide dance floors, as TroyBoi sets out on a string of European performances throughout February.
