What So Not announces indefinite hiatus

It has been a whirlwind journey for What So Not, and now the beloved Aussie producer is ready to hang it up for a little bit. Since the project’s breakthrough in 2013, What So Not has been an ever-evolving production machine. After the highly publicized Flume split, Emoh took the project solo, continuing to collaborate with artists across the spectrum, keeping to a ferocious touring itinerary for the better part of half a decade. Now, following the devastating bushfires that have ravaged Australia in recent months, Emoh’s perspectives have shifted; as such, he’s putting the brakes on What So Not indefinitely.

Sharing the message with fans social media, the Divide and Conquer producer explains his need to reset and break out of the routine of life between tour busses and recording studios. Along with announcing the deserved breather, What So Not reveals he has one record on the way and a few committed shows still on the books in 2020—outside of that though, its radio silence for now.
