Daktyl's unveils dreamy sophomore album, 'UNREALITY'
After five years since his debut album, Daktyl has delivered his sophomore full-length project, UNREALITY. Building off his remix prowess, the LA-based multi-instrumentalist takes his sonic dexterity in a new direction with his latest LP release. Following 2015’s Cyclicals, the 13-track UNREALITY encompasses Dakytl’s venture into escapism through a blend of meticulous electronic production and inspiring experimental sounds. The UK-originated electronic producer recently teamed up with SLUMBERJACK on single, “Crucified.” His first-ever headlining show will take place in Los Angeles on March 6.
Preceded by singles, “Veins Detached,” “A Thin Blue Line,” “To The Bone,” “Chaos Control,” “Ku Ring Gai,” and “Illumination,” UNREALITY is the culmination of a two-year effort that showcases a range of mind-warping tracks—some paired with brooding vocals, others with acoustics, and even more with trippy bass embellishments. Daktyl uncovers worlds of detail within each track as he dives into synapse-firing synths, off-kilter percussions, and nostalgic sensations.
