Flying Lotus announces 'Flamagra' instrumentals LP, shares new version of 'Black Balloons Reprise' [Stream]

Flying Lotus has announced the instrumental edition of Flamagra, arriving May 29. The forthcoming LP Flamagra (Instrumentals) will encompass his 27-track studio album in their pure beat form. The release features a special 2xLP edition and includes an “exclusive animated slipmat” designed by Winston Hacking and Drew Tetz. FlyLo has also shared a preview of the new appendage with an instrumental version of Denzel Curry-assisted single, “Black Balloon Reprise.”

Aside from his own solo music, FlyLo’s participation in a multitude of creative endeavors has cemented him as an experimental pioneer of high calibre. The Brainfeeder founder’s latest project finds him soundtracking Netflix anime Yasuke which centers on history’s first black samurai. The past year has also seen FlyLo collaborate with Moog on a teaser film, reap production credits on Thundercat‘s It Is What It Is LP, and perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
