Diplo & Friends Will Leave BBC Radio 1 In September
After 10 years of cooperation, Diplo & Friends have announced that they will be leaving BBCR1 this September. The news came after Annie Mac’s split from the radio after 17 years of service.
Fans were not anticipating it coming, as the show was greatly loved by many.
The electronic/ dance artist Willy Joy also took to Twitter to express his thoughts.
“My @diplo & friends mix on BBC was one of the very first things I got to do that really started to put me on people’s radars. I’m not sure if a lot of what happened in my career would have without that opportunity. Thanks to Wes and BBCR1 for championing so many new artists,” he tweeted.
