Time To Address The Existing Gender Imbalance In The Electronic Dance Field

EDM is the fifth most famous genre; to this date, the field is still being dominated by male artists and a few female ones. 

Several female artists including, the very famous Alison Wonderland, has spoken about the issue of gender inclusion, saying: 

“I feel like I’ve really had to prove myself more so than men, and I think a lot of women will tell you the same thing,” Alison Wonderland told EDM.com. “I had to work really hard for credibility as an artist.”

Despite the deeply rooted gender discrimination, several ambitious women are breaking the stereotype by setting their feet.
