Dance chameleon DJ Boring is touring Australia this month

Tristan Hallis aka DJ Boring, the Australian born, UK based producer is stretching his legs this month with a tour around Australia with some pretty hyped shows.

He’ll be stopping almost everywhere with his debut live show on offer in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth through June.

Yep, that’s right, he’ll be debuting a live show that’ll no doubt activate some dancefloor NRG and only heighten his brand of melodic and upbeat house and techno coupled with his buzzing presence behind the decks.

Back in 2017 we chatted to him about his lofi breakout and THAT Wynona Ryder sample that seems as current as ever with the return of Stranger Things Season 4. A funny and simple story that we’ve all been through it seems;

”I spend a lot of time watching films and random stuff on YouTube. With Winona, (I’m probably sure everyone went through it as well) after watching stranger things, I was obsessed! I started to watch heaps of videos about Winona Ryder. Listening to her talk in that interview that I sampled brought me back to my childhood, being bullied throughout my entire school life. So that song is really emotional and means a lot to me.”

Now, he seems larger than life and enjoying his ascension to the dance music upper tiers following a co-sign on a raft of labels including Ninjatune sub-print Technicolour and Shall Not Fade.

Check out his Australian tour dates below as well as his recent slamming Boiler Room set for Lost Sundays that includes a cheeky cut from The Presets (listen to our podcast with them here).
