Franky Wah’s essential tracks for SHÈN Residency at Chinois Ibiza

After a smashing debut last year, Franky Wah returns to Ibiza with his SHÈN residency at Chinois, running every Sunday from June 16th to September 29th. He’s joined by world-class names including Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Ida Engberg, Kalismã, and Joris Voorn. These artists weave their magic in the club’s pleasure dome, blending intimate old-world Asian opulence with cutting-edge sound technology for the ultimate escape from the daily grind.

SHÈN finds a natural home at Chinois, as Franky Wah’s concept celebrates Chinese philosophy and mythology while pushing the boundaries of progressive club culture through his record label, fashion brand, and Ibiza residency.

While Chinois is packed every Sunday, Wah’s also on a roll with releases. Following his recent hit ‘Stolen Glances’ with Låpsley, his latest release ‘Sunrise To The Morning’ has been igniting his sets for a while now.

To celebrate his residency and new release, Franky Wah shared his top 10 tracks that are soundtracking his SHÈN Residency at Chinois Ibiza.

1. Franky Wah – Sunrise To The Morning

‘Sunrise To The Morning’ is my latest single on my label SHÈN Recordings and has been road tested at the residency for all summer. It always gets a great reaction.”

2. Hernan Cattaneo, Mercurio – A380

“Two of the busiest nights we’ve had for the residency so far have been the nights Hernan Cattaneo has played. The energy in the room has been insane.”

3. Guy J – Metal Dreams

“I’ve been playing this record quite a lot in my sets recently, especially at the residency, it fits the vibe of the night perfectly.”

4. Franky Wah ft. Clementine Douglas – Deep Dive In My Soul

“This track is from my mixtape ‘This Is SHÈN’ that came out on the label a few years ago. I like taking people on a journey with my sets and this track is perfect for that first hour when you’re just beginning to build it slightly.”

5. Crusy – New Life ft. Lubo

“Again this is one of those tracks that I’ve been paying a lot this summer and is from a great Spanish artist called Crusy. We released this track in particular on SHÈN a few months ago.”

6. John Digweed x Nick Muir x Franky Wah – Tripchain

“This is a tune that we used to announce the first ever Ibiza residency last year, before it was even released. It almost feels like the start of the Ibiza journey.”

7. Ian O’Donavan – Frontier

“This is a relatively new one, released on John Digweed label, Bedrock. Digweed is a huge inspiration of mine and I really respect everything that Bedrock releases.”

8. Ben Elding – Elevated Mind

“This track is actually taken from a VA we put out on SHÈN recently called ‘The Next Gen’. The whole compilation was full of some amazing tracks from up-and-coming artists, with Ben Elding being one of them. This track especially has been a staple in my sets in Ibiza.”

9. Franky Wah x Sasha – Haunted

“It’s only right that I include my collab with Sasha here. Similarly to John Digweed, Sasha was a huge inspiration for me growing up. To think that I’ve now gone on to release records with both of them and also regularly play b2b with Sasha, it’s a pretty mental feeling.”

10. Franky Wah – Stolen Glances ft. Låpsley

“I’ve only recently put out this record with Låpsley and she actually came out to Ibiza for the opening of the residency to perform it live down at the port and then at Chinois. I really love this record, Låpsley is a dream to work with and we even managed to get my whole family in the video for it.”
