Native Instruments has unveiled the Z1 MK2, a cutting-edge iteration of their popular portable Traktor controller.
This new model enhances its predecessor’s design with advanced features. It incluides an intuitive two-channel mixing interface with three-band EQ and precise gain control. Long-throw faders and a smooth crossfader enable seamless track transitions.
The Z1 MK2 boasts three crisp OLED screens for real-time visual feedback, an integrated audio interface for streamlined setup, and a dedicated stems layer. This feature allows DJs to manipulate individual elements of tracks in Traktor software, enhancing creative control during performances.
Expanding its effects capabilities, the Z1 MK2 offers dedicated controls for Traktor’s nine FX, including filter, reverb, delay, and gater.
Despite its compact design, the Z1 MK2 packs impressive functionality. It controls four decks simultaneously with easy layer switching, offers dual audio outputs (RCA master and 3.5mm cue), and uses a USB-A port for power and connectivity, ensuring wide compatibility.
An intelligent lighting system provides visual cues for track endings and loop modes. The customizable lighting and OLED screens display real-time stem information, allowing DJs to tailor feedback and precisely control individual track elements.
Priced at £214, the Z1 MK2 offers professional-grade features in a portable package. For more details and demonstrations, visit the Native Instruments website.
