Streaming platform SoundCloud has launched six AI-powered tools aimed at helping artists and fans remix, edit, and produce music without traditional software or equipment. These tools include Tuney (for remixing and producing tracks), ACE Studio (which generates vocals and lyrics), and TwoShot (for creating custom samples). Tracks created using these tools will be tagged to indicate the specific AI tool used.

The company claims these tools will help “democratize music creation,” with SoundCloud CEO Eliah Seton emphasizing AI’s potential to unlock creative possibilities while maintaining ethical practices. SoundCloud has also joined the AI For Music initiative, which sets guidelines for responsible AI use in the music industry. This launch follows previous AI integrations on SoundCloud, such as FadrSoundful, and Voice-Swap introduced earlier this year. Additionally, SoundCloud previously rolled out AI mastering with Dolby in 2020. The move comes as other platforms, like YouTube, are experimenting with AI for remixing licensed songs.

SoundCloud’s push for AI tools coincides with growing debates about AI’s impact on the music industry, including concerns over potential revenue losses for musicians by 2028 and calls for AI regulation.
