Death In Vegas are set to release their new album ‘Death Mask’ on June 6th, 2025, via Drone. The announcement comes alongside the release of the title track.

The LP finds founding member Richard Fearless channeling personal loss, memory, and catharsis through an unfiltered sonic lens. With grainy textures and distorted synths, the record stands as a bold exploration of raw techno, dub experimentation, and emotional depth.

‘Death Mask’ embraces a grittier edge, evoking the sonic weight of acts like sunn O))) and Underground Resistance. Its themes are grounded in Fearless’ reflections on his father’s funeral, his birthplace in Zambia, and the grief processed through analog machines. The studio setup—using aging gear like the Echoplex and Effectron delay—adds further organic unpredictability to the record’s haunted soundscapes.

“I loved the idea of recording live takes as separate stems, then doing dub-inspired mixes of these stems through my console,” says Fearless. “Some of the gear takes on a life of its own… things bleed in from what was there before, like people from the past.”
