BOSAYA: The Indie Pop Oracle Singing to the Soul
BOSAYA’s Early Days and Inspirations
From a young age, BOSAYA knew she was destined to become a professional singer. She sang to trees, animals, and the river—anywhere and everywhere. She also saved the money her parents gave her for cleaning her room so that she could buy tapes and listen to them. These were the first professional recordings she vividly remembers hearing, and they were by artists like ERA, SEAL, and Sting.
One day, teachers from a music school visited her school and played the cello, and she fell in love with the instrument. The cello became her first instrument before enrolling in the choral conducting department. While participating in that more classically oriented musical group, she sang in a rock band, performing “songs about eternal love.”
BOSAYA formed her current band after graduating from university with a degree in pop jazz. The name BOSAYA represents her grandfather’s surname and existential freedom, where one can dance barefoot on Earth.
Practice Makes Perfect
BOSAYA practiced a lot and tried to replicate the vocal improvisations of artists she admired, such as Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Adele, and Christina Aguilera. Her multi-faceted voice can get quite high and reach up to four octaves, a rare feat.
BOSAYA further developed her style alongside producer Vadim Zariuta. Together, they brought her love of modern vocalists and more classical composers into a unified sound, resulting in a style that is every bit as influenced by Bach, Rachmaninoff, Brahms, and Podgayts as it is by modern hip-hop or pop. While English is not BOSAYA’s first language, she writes songs in English with the aid of hip-hop artist Nadirah X.
Challenges and Health Setbacks
BOSAYA found it immensely challenging to take everything into her own hands and start organizing the whole project. “But overall, the universe has always been kind to us, and we come across wonderful and professional people,” she says.
However, BOSAYA had to endure far greater challenges recently in terms of health setbacks. “Perhaps the hardest period of my life was when I lost my voice and spent about a year recovering it. This happened due to a large number of concerts and a heavy workload. I remember that I was also finishing university at the same time, and I really got scared, thinking I would never be able to sing again. After a long recovery, I studied many vocal practices and strengthened my vocal cords.”
These health issues also forced her to take longer breaks between performances moving forward. She began to experience unexplained allergic reactions in her body, accompanied by intense internal pain. After eight years, she finally received an accurate diagnosis and is now actively working with her doctors toward a better future.
Success and a Brighter Future

Despite not being connected to the hip-hop industry, BOSAYA has made a name for herself, having performed alongside artists like Wiz Khalifa, Nelly, B.O.B., Flo Rida, and Tony B.
She says, “My greatest dream has always been to perform with Coldplay.
BOSAYA hopes to see herself in a world with large concerts across various states in America and beyond. With her music, she strives to deliver more than just a concert, a full-blown conceptual show about inspiration.
