Major League Soccer has steadily been on the rise in North America over the last decade. In the spirit of bringing incredibly passionate fan bases and a diverse array of cultures together, MLS has launched a new addition to the ongoing “Our Soccer” campaign, with a national spot featuring the Macklovitch brothers, Chromeo frontman Dave1 and Fool’s Gold co-founder, A-Trak.
In the new spot, titled “Like That,” highlight clips flash by as A-Trak’s voice over reads, “Our soccer is a vibe. Everybody’s welcome. We pull up. Laced up. Link up. And get down. When we make it happen. Move how we move. Like that. Our way. Our Soccer.” The new ad’s behind-the-scenes footage features the two Montreal-natives delving into what soccer means to them, and how growing up in Quebec exposed the two to things that hadn’t necessarily caught on in the United States. Says A-Trak,
“Montreal is already up on certain things before the rest of North Americans caught on. I saw it as a DJ with electronic music. It’s the way of the future. It’s the way forward. We’ve got to keep embracing that.”
