AC Slater drops new collab with Kaleena Zanders, 'Final Fantasy'
Night Bass boss, AC Slater, is back on his own label, and once again accepting mellifluous assistance from dance music vocalizer, Kaleena Zanders, for a groove-infused bass house cut, “Final Fantasy.”
Zanders has been a friend of Night Bass for several years running. She lent her vocals to the label’s 2015 release — a single with Petey Clicks entitled “The One.” Since then, she has become an established member of the Night Bass family, working with BOT, Jack Beats, and more on offerings from the imprint.
Zanders’ first co-production with AC Slater, “Another You,” came in 2017 on Slater’s album, Outsiders. Where that track fits the bouncing, garage-influenced Night Bass sound like a glove, “Final Fantasy” demonstrates a level of collaborative growth for both artists. Slater reigns in the bassline to make it more organically supportive of Zanders, while she melds her voice to a more dance-able hook with more ease than ever before.
This single includes three ancillary remixes attached to the arrival, featuring fellow Night Bass cohorts, Steady Rock and Jay Robinson, as well as a drum ‘n’ bass flip from Turno.
