It didn’t take long for a young songsmith Alan Walker to make his way into the mainstream. With a wildly popular “Faded,” and later on “Sing Me To Sleep” and other infectious singles that are palatable to ears outside the EDM world, the 20-year-old Norwegian is now one of the most well-known new talents to date.
Walker has expressed his fandom over fellow young talent and compatriot, K-391; as a result, a refreshed collaboration between the two, alongside vocalists Julie Bergen and SEUNGRI, has come to fruition.
The resulting number, a vocal rendition of their 2017 number “Ignite,” is quite an explosive, and heartwarming concoction. It’s downtempo, yet hearty, with a full injection of pitched-up, memorable synth progressions and passionate verses by Bergen. Walker and K-391 add a slight twist toward the end in the form of a soothing breakdown, which preps the listener nicely for a powerful ending.
