Amsterdam's Dekmantel festival forced to postpone until 2021

As a result of the Dutch government’s updated social provisions, Amsterdam’s beloved techno and house festival, Dekmantel has been postponed until next year. The decisions falls in accordance with the ban on all large-scale gatherings through August 31 due to COVID-19 concerns.

On the plus side, the festival emphasized that the decision behind Dekmantel 2020 really is a postponement, as all of the artists featured on this year’s lineup, acts like Helena Hauff, Venetian Snares, Objekt, and Call Super have agreed to play the late-summer event next year. Accordingly, tickets for 2020 will be valid for the new dates (August 1 – 4, 2021), and the festival has announced that they’ll be providing more details for “all options” regarding 2020 tickets given patience. Visit Dekmentel’s homepage for the festival’s full statement.
