Iconic German DJ and producer Anja Schneider has just released her latest musical offering, EG.997, a captivating mix that pushes the boundaries of contemporary electronic music. This mix is now available for streaming on EG’s SoundCloud and Mixcloud platforms.
Schneider’s curated compilation features an all-star lineup of electronic music talent. The mix showcases tracks from a diverse array of artists, including Tal Fussmann, Syreeta, Mathias Kaden, Space Motion, Kashovski, Diego Infazon, Gregor Tresher, Tiga, Hudson Mohawke, Skatman, and Sebo K. Schneider herself contributes to the mix, adding her signature sound to the roster.
Expressing her excitement about the project, Schneider shared, “Creating this mix for Electronic Groove was truly an honor. I’ve crafted 60 minutes of music that represents the essence of my style—deep, hypnotic, with subtle Detroit influences.”
EG.997 highlights Schneider’s musical expertise and illustrates her influential career. From raver to renowned DJ, producer, promoter, and label owner, she has significantly impacted electronic music. Her journey began at Berlin’s Tresor club in 1993, leading to her move to the city and immersion in its vibrant techno scene.
Schneider’s influence extends beyond DJing. As a broadcaster, she shaped electronic music through radio shows on Kiss FM and Radio Berlin Brandenburg’s Radio Fritz. Her ‘Dance Under The Blue Moon’ program became crucial to Berlin’s underground scene.
After departing from her successful imprint Mobilee, Schneider founded Sous Music, a platform that showcases both her A&R expertise and her evolving musical style. Her recent venture, the ‘Club Room’ series on Apple Music, further cements her status as an innovator in the industry.
