'Anjunadeep 11' CD 1 drops ahead of full release
Out of nowhere, Anjunadeep has released the first half of its 11th edition of its self-titled series. Anjunadeep 11 is due out in full on Friday, Feb. 7, but in a surprise announcement, CD 1 is available for streaming now. On social media, founder James Grant explains the partial early release:
“…We live in an age of distraction and 2.5 hours of music is a lot for anyone to consume in one sitting, so we thought we’d try to give each CD mix its moment in the sun and, more importantly, shine a light on each individual artists’ contribution to the album…
The results will then be shared with the scientific community, after which you will finally be able to enjoy Anjunadeep 11 in full – just as nature intended.”
CD 1 features the likes of Ben Böhmer, Cubicolor, and Luttrell ahead of his sophomore LP, Lucky Ones. Additionally, Lane 8 shares another track closely following his stunning 2020 album Brightest Lights. As always, Anjunadeep 11 is mixed by the incomparable duo of Grant and Jody Wisternoff.
