Anna Prior, the multi-talented DJ, producer, and drummer, is set to release a remix edition of her debut EP ‘Almost Love’ on November 7th through House Anxiety. This follows the summer launch of the original EP.
The remix EP opens with Kornél Kovács’ lo-fi take on ‘Tech Não’. This remix is now available with an accompanying visualizer by Morgan Hislop. Kovács, a Stockholm-based artist and Studio Barnhus collective member brings his distinctive style to Prior’s work. His remix features vocals from Matt Karmil, known for collaborations with Bicep and Underworld.
This global project showcases an impressive lineup of international talent. It includes Canadian artist Jex Opolis (fresh from remixing Peggy Gou and Lenny Kravitz), PPJ (France/Brazil), Hiro Ama (Japan), Rawson and Jackson (UK), Mörmaid (Norway), Sónia Trópicos (Portugal), and Anna Prior herself.
In an innovative twist, Prior is inviting fans to participate in the remix process. She’s releasing the stems for ‘Tech Não’ to the public, with the best community submission earning a spot on the official House Anxiety release in November.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Prior states, “I’m pretty proud of the global vibes this remix package is bringing. While I’m thrilled about having KK, Jex Opolis, and PPJ remix my music, I’m also excited to introduce some underground, up-and-coming producers to the world. Each track is uniquely brilliant, and there’s definitely something for everyone!”
