Apashe partners with orchestra on cinematic new single, 'Distance'

Kannibalen Records mainstay Apashe just released the first single from his upcoming album Renaissance, and it’s a cinematic masterpiece. “Distance” opens with gorgeous, powerful, orchestral stabs that evidently left listeners wondering how Apashe created such a realistic sound, to which Apashe jokingly replied on Twitter, “an orchestra?”

Just as quickly as the orchestral sounds appear, they cut away, leaving room for a beautiful vocal performance from Geoffroy accompanied by tight trap-inspired drums. The drops that follow cohesively intertwine the orchestra recordings with Apashe’s own masterful production, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an epic blockbuster film. “Distance” is a superb glimpse of what is to come on the Renaissance album.
