Audio leakage might just cease to be a problem for Apple AirPod users in 2019, given the tech company’s rumored intent to release an improved version of the AirPods, complete with noise cancellation and water resistance. An over-ear rendition will accompany the updated wireless AirPods, as Bloomberg reports.
Bloomberg’s supposition that Apple will debut noise cancellation AirPods reiterates information previously released by Barclays analysts, which asserted that Apple would introduce an anti-audio leakage feature in 2019. Bloomberg’s report differs from the analysts’ in that Bloomberg’s highlights a lag in the expected release for the over-ear models, thought to retail “before the end of 2018 back in March.”
Apple is also said to be at work on the development of a new HomePod, although no other details regarding the HomePod are available.
