The electronic music community is in mourning after the unexpected death of Sebastián Busto, renowned Argentine DJ and producer, which occurred on Sunday, August 18th. According to close sources, the artist would have suffered cardio-respiratory arrest.
Sebastián Busto was a household name in the electronic music scene, known for his deep passion and dedication to his art. Throughout his career, he managed to stand out with releases on prestigious labels such as Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Replug, Dreamers, and Movement, which allowed him to position himself as an influential figure within the progressive house movement. His sound, characterized by creating dreamlike atmospheres, with deep melodies and enveloping rhythms, resonated with a global audience, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and fans alike.
He also founded his own record label, Moonlight Music, through which he sought to promote his musical vision and that of other emerging talents. He had a monthly residency on Proton Radio and was invited to perform mixes on notable radio stations such as Frisky Radio, GWM Radio and Digitally Imported.
In the hours following the news of his passing, numerous artists and record labels around the world expressed their grief and shared memories of him.
