ARYMÉ reworks a classic on ‘El Salamou Aleikom’

Paris-based Moroccan producer ARYMÉ represents everything exciting about contemporary Afro House – cultural fusion executed with genuine respect and serious dancefloor instincts. Starting as a DJ at 12 and producing by 16, he’s built something remarkable over the past few years, including co-founding YOKO, one of Paris’s biggest monthly Afro-Deep House events that’s now expanded globally to Marrakesh, New York, and Beirut.

His 2021 signing to Deep Root Records proved transformative, connecting him with the influential NYC label run by Francis Mercier and Ajamu Kambon. That association opened doors to support from heavyweights like Black Coffee, Keinemusik, Adriatique, Diplo, and Shimza.

ARYMÉ’s latest release “El Salamou Aleikom” with Anrey showcases his approach perfectly. The track reworks Hakim’s iconic 2002 hit into an Afro-oriental house anthem that honors the original while making it completely contemporary. It’s a bold move that could easily go wrong, but ARYMÉ’s multicultural perspective allows him to navigate these waters with confidence, blending Middle Eastern melodies with modern groove in ways that feel natural rather than forced.
