Be the first to listen to ShockOne’s masterful new album ‘A Dark Machine’

Australia’s godfather of Drum n Bass is back! The Perth based ShockOne has delivered a high energy album we’ve come to expect, for dedicated fans and admirers to enjoy alike.

‘A Dark Machine’ is the second LP from (Karl) Thomas and the latest in a dense discography legacy stretching way back to 2005 that includes the absolute hammer and personal favourite that was “Chaos Theory”.

Out now on Warner Music, the album is certainly something built for modern audiences with flashes of contemporary electro most notably in “Till Dawn” and “Silver and Gold”.  The pace of the album is really set to 100 from the start with his recent collaboration alongside Italo electro producer The Bloody Beetroots “Run” coming in thick and fast after the short, suspenseful opener “Awake”.

The album emits nuances of the classic and hard sounds that paved the way to where he is today. Iced with dramatic builds and attitude ridden vocal features, it always leaving you waiting for the next big energy filled moment.

Other sonic favourites on the album include “Klaxon” and “Pray for Me”, both of which you’ll be able to hear when ShockOne hits the road through August with comprehensive stops around Australia including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Wollongong, Cairns, Newcastle and Toowoomba – suss tickets here.

Overall, ShockOne has delivered a bang on album full of all killer, no filler tracks and if history tells us anything, a damn impressive live show to boot.
