Blurring the lines between old and new: CIIMERA delivers Oldschool Big Room with a modern punch in “Blurry Lines”
• 90s vibe with a simple pattern
• Vocal-driven drop with serious punch
• Pure club energy with clever details
Today I needed something with energy, something that could shake up the day a bit. CIIMERA‘s “Blurry Lines” did exactly that.
He’s been making moves lately, with some solid support across radio shows (even Austin Kramer’s Tomorrowland Radio) and high placements on the Beatport Big Room chart. Not bad for a fresh name out of Germany.
The track itself is an absolute club weapon. The bassline locks in from the start, the melody rides a fine line between catchy and nostalgic, and the drums hit just right. First drop: I wasn’t ready. The vocal gives it that extra edge, and once that oldschool kick and lead hit, I was sold.
CIIMERA’s clearly playing with a 90s vibe here, but it’s not just a throwback. The kick’s got that tight, modern weight to it, and everything around it is clean and purposeful. At first it might sound retro, but the more you listen, the more the production opens up. The bass, the pacing, the textur… They all land with intention.
There’s nothing overly complex about “Blurry Lines” and that’s kind of the point. It’s direct, fun, and totally functional. The vocal lifts it more than expected too, blending right into the mix without stealing the spotlight.
It’s a track that understands its job and delivers. Big Room done right, with just enough personality to stand out. Give it a spin: you’ll feel it.
