Brian Cid unveils two-track EP ‘Mind Game’

DISTRIKT Sound—the record label associated with the Burning Man camp and nonprofit organization DISTRIKT—has launched its progressive music division with an EP from producer Brian Cid.

The EP opens with ‘Mind Game,’ a sonic journey weaving deep, pulsating rhythms with a powerful message. Inspired by a heartfelt conversation with his friend Diego Dorothy about meditation’s transformative power, Cid crafted a track that resonates both musically and spiritually.

‘Mind Game’ showcases Cid’s production prowess, featuring a haunting groove built with Roland drum machines, live electric guitar, and Moog synthesizers. The track’s call-and-response style creates an engaging experience, designed for large spaces and embodying DISTRIKT Sound’s musical essence.

The EP’s second offering, ‘Aladanza,’ takes listeners on a different yet equally captivating journey. This high-energy, minimal progressive track is characterized by its infectious, forward-moving groove. Drawing inspiration from his summers in Berlin, Cid infused ‘Aladanza’ with the city’s festive atmosphere and vibrant dance culture.
