Burial and The Bug come together again on new EP, 'Dive/Rain'

Burial and The Bug are back together with a new EP entitled Dive/Rain.

Just like last year’s Fog/Shrine, neither artist will don their solo monikers. Instead, they will once again use their collaborative title, “Flame,” and since this is the second release from the macabre pair, the official author of the release is “Flame 2.”

As is their style, Burial and The Bug ventured deep into the lowest circles of production hell to summon sounds that can only be expected in grimy British warehouses, straddled by abandoned trainyards where lost souls will wander for eternity. Ideas of melody, harmony, and rhythm are almost impossible to discern from one another as drums are slammed against synths in grueling fashion. The EP incites images of contorting monstrosities as it unfolds.
