Cardi B Talks Butt Injections & Being Insecure About Her Accent

In a new GQ interview, Cardi B, who just dropped her highly-anticipated debut, Invasion Privacy, and recently revealed that she is indeed pregnant, talks everything from getting painful butt injections to her accent and her relationship with fiancé, Offset.

She says got butt injections in her early 20s, sharing she did so because her boyfriend at the time cheated on her with a girl who had a bigger butt.

"I felt a little dizzy. And it leaks for, like, five days," she said the injections. She also said the woman who gave her the injections is in jail for allegedly killing someone on her operating table.

In another part the interview, Cardi, who has been critical about Uncle Sam taking all her tax money, and has been vocal about socio-political issues, including police killings in the black community, says she's obsessed with how government works. She's also really into presidents.

“I love government. I’m obsessed with presidents. I’m obsessed to know how the system works,” she said, before giving props to Franklin D. Roosevelt. “First all, he helped us get over the Depression, all while he was in a wheelchair. Like, this man was suffering from polio at the time his presidency, and yet all he was worried about was trying to make America great. … And his wife Eleanor Roosevelt]? I would say she was almost like Michelle Obama. She was such a good humanitarian, and we both got the same birthday, October 11th.”

Of course, also on the hot topic list in the interview was her relationship with Migos' member, Offset, who has publicly cheated on her. She admitted that at first she wondered why he would want her when he could have any woman he wanted, and says the two had trust issues.

“I always felt like he could get any girl he wants — what makes me think he’s gonna want me? I think he felt the same way," she says.

She even reveals that she's a little insecure about her rich Dominican accent.

“I be trying to pronounce words properly and without an accent in the studio],” she admitted. “Each and every song from my album, I most likely did it over five times because I’m really insecure about my accent when it comes to music. In person, I don’t care.”
