Intec Records marks its long-anticipated return with ‘Chasing Ghosts’, a three-track EP from Carlo Lio and M.I.T.A. The release reignites the energy of Carl Cox’s label, which had gone on hiatus following its last 2020 release.

Founded in 1998, Intec quickly became a cornerstone of the techno world with releases like ‘Sunshine’, ‘D-Clash’ and ‘Pontape’. After a brief closure and a relaunch in 2010, the label continued pushing groove-heavy, underground techno until pausing once more in 2020.

The EP opens strong with its signature high-octane sound, pairing Carlo Lio, global club fixture and Rawthentic music co-founder, with Ischia’s M.I.T.A. The title track delivers peak-time energy, while ‘AFREAKA’ and ‘The Artist’s Struggle’ explore funky, tribal grooves.

Both artists bring solid credentials—Lio’s releases on Tronic, Suara and KD Raw, and M.I.T.A.’s work for Virgo and Uncage have earned support from Carl Cox, Marco Carola, and other techno heavyweights, with performances at fabric, D-Edge and Melkweg.
