EDM All Day

Catch Sofi Tukker, Tierra Whack and Biig Piig this month

Best thing about Splendour in the Grass every year? Sideshows. Either for those that couldn’t make the journey or others (ehem) like ourselves that enjoy a whack of international acts but on your doorstep with the comfort of dinner, shower and a bed to bookend the experience.

While we’ve already heard about Duke Dumont, Dillon Francis and Mura Masa doing their things around Australia, there’s another three standout acts we’re giddingly waiting for to watch live.

These are a little less fist pump and more head bop with indie-dance duo Sofi Tukker, American rapper Tierra Whack and Brit croon rapper Biig Piig all in town for a bloody good time.

Sofii Tukker is a no-brainer with breakout “Drinkee” and that guitar riff helping them breakthrough. Subsequent singles have made them ones to continually watch. The Melbourne show is sold out but those in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth can snap up tickets.

Relatively fresh on the scene and on our radar is Tierra Whack who throws down smooth yet fast bars over undeniably catchy melodies. A+ production and no doubt will be a very special show.

Another singer and rapper is Biig Piig who offers up ultra cleansing lyrics and performances. Think DIY bedroom rap. There will surely be some big moments but also the inimate ‘I was there’ moments that’ll have you pinching yourself.
