Chief Moquiuix Expresses His World Views In New Album Mass Psychosis Is
San Diego and Las Vegas-based rapper-producer Chief Moquiuix is back with a highly-acclaimed body of work, his new album Mass Psychosis that lists thirteen engaging tracks.
After the release of many successful songs in 2021, including “Irrational,” “Buenos Diaz,” “Vagos” and “Radicalism,” Moquiuix has finally treated fans with a long-awaited debut album.
Born and raised in South East San Diego, CA, he is a 1st Generation American. With a deep tie to ancestral roots, his music provides perspective in hopes to bring people together. He started diving into recording/beat making at the age of 16, and cites Cypress Hill as well as his own father, who tragically passed away from Covid recently, as one of his biggest artistic influences.
He recently shared his thoughts about his debut album: “The wealthy have become wealthier since the beginning of the pandemic. And to me it’s clear to see that when you control the news and the media in general, you control the people. My album is meant to give the masses their own second opinion. A fresh perspective. I don’t wear skinny jeans, I don’t make trap beats, I don’t mumble, or sing with auto tune. I’m not hating, I’m just saying I don’t have anything to hide. I’m just trying to give hip-hop, and even pop culture a breath of fresh air.I’m all about love, peace, unity and providing value to the fans that enjoy being entertained by my different point of view.”
