CHKLZ blend past and present on ‘White Wine Spritzer’ remix
Emerging from the ashes of the now-defunct “Nedal” band Okilly Dokilly, is DJ/producer duo CHKLZ’s remix of “White Wine Spritzer.” Comprised of former Okilly Dokilly members, DJ iLL Choppo and LeMarshawn Jean, CHKLZ lean into a groovy brand of house on their version.
Okilly Dokilly, known for their unique ‘Nedal’ genre—a heavy metal style inspired by Ned Flanders from The Simpsons—gained a cult following since their inception in 2015. The band’s whimsical concept, which started as a joke among friends, turned into a serious musical endeavor, even catching the attention of The Simpsons ‘producers. Their track “White Wine Spritzer” was featured in the show’s episode “I’m Just a Girl Who Can’t Say D’oh.”
With the “White Wine Spritzer” remix, CHKLZ “captures and connects all the dots of our past, present, and future!,” says DJ iLL Choppo. This track marks CHKLZ’s first release of 2024, following 2023’s “Two Sexy” and “Rock You Like A Hurricane.”
