Chris Varvaro and OMAIR channel multidimensional sound on 'Controlled Chaos'

After making several splashes in the electronic scene with his individual sonic endeavors, Chris Varvaro makes a collaborative, ear catching outing with OMAIR on “Controlled Chaos.” True to the title’s claim of chaotic maintenance, Varvaro and OMAIR exert a tight hold on the track’s development for the duration of the near seven-minute single.

A fervently pulsating beat steals the show from the song’s opening seconds. From there, the production builds at a slow, tantalizing simmer as additional elements gradually filter in. Dark, shadowy slices of sound are a staticky accessory to the arrangement. Drums steadily strike.

Outfitted with the potent technics of underground warehouse sound, “Controlled Chaos” is a formidable joint effort from Varvaro and OMAIR. The single is out now Black Hole Records’ OHM Deep State.
