Cozway and Jon Casey join RL Grime's Sable Valley repertoire with new experimental trap, 'Ambush'

RL Grime continues to bend boundaries with his new Sable Valley imprint, featuring some of the rawest sounds in familiar format. This round, the NOVA producer enlisted the talents of Cozway and Jon Casey for a shrilling trap behemoth. Through an involved percussive intro, listeners are introduced to a complex syncopation that downpours with ice pick synths after the drop.

As Sable Valley continues to showcase its unique flare, each release also comes with a mix to support. The third installment of the mix series presents the one-of-a-kind stylings of Vancouver producer Cozway, tossing epic trap remixes of RL Grime’s “Light Me Up” with vocals from Miguel and Drake’s “SIKO MODE” verse. Trap is taking a turn towards experimental sounds, and Sable Valley is heading the pack.
