CRAY releases the first taste from her upcoming EP, 'idontwannatalkaboutlove,' via Ultra Music
Coming off her Lollapalooza performance and gaming activation with fellow pro-gamer, Ninja, CRAY continues her hot streak with brand new music. “idontwannatalkaboutlove” the first taste of an upcoming EP CRAY has been working on which will be released on Ultra Records , the title of which is to-be-announced. It’s a stripped-back, pop-leaning electro feeler that presents an air of empowerment amid the mystic, yet somber harmonies, driving synths and authentic lyrics.
CRAY passed along a quote about her new track in a press release:
“The title says it all. I don’t want to talk about love. I wrote this song sharing my frustrations with how I felt my story or my music was being overshadowed by my love life. So many people would tell me any relationship I’m in was ‘goals’ or perfect, but it was really nothing like that on the inside.
Everything looks pretty from afar. I feel like in our society it’s so easy to get caught up on needing to find love and it to be a huge portion of your life. But finding who you are, and being passionate about what you want to do, is so much more important. Stay true to yourself and do not let anything or anyone overshadow who you are.
The artist is wrapping up a North American run, with remaining dates including stops in Portland, Las Vegas, and Tuscon. She’ll likely be picking up again not long following the EP release.
