Crooked Colours Seamlessly Challenge The Contemporary Electronic Music With Their Recent Release “No Sleep”
The Australian trio Crooked Colours has just dropped the first single for the year titled, “No Sleep.” The project is a spacious track, as it harmoniously mixes indie, house, and pop, creating carefree energy.
Crooked Colours started their musical journey in 2013, and since then, they have taken part in several festivals and concerts like Bonnaroo and Splendour In The Grass. The trio consists of Phil Slabber, Leon Debaughn, and Liam Merrett-Park.
In a press release, Phil Slabber talked in detail about their recent solo saying:
“We’ve always tried to meld emotional lyric content with dance production ideas, and ‘No Sleep’ is a perfect example of that.”
He further explains that the core meaning of the song is “about someone who treated a relationship with a sort of arrogant nonchalance and didn’t truly appreciate it until it’s too late. It serves as a reminder to hold on to the good things we have and to not take them for granted.”
“No Sleep” is vibey to the max and it is a must-listen.
