David Guetta gives John Legend’s 2020 single a dance makeover – EDM All Day
John Legend’s newest “Conversations in the Dark” receives a euphoric, uptempo makeover from David Guetta. Whereas the original does what the EGOT artist does best—tugging at heartstrings through blissful soul vocals—Guetta’s edit adds a strong backing instrumentation that immediately uplifts the tone of the original with higher a octave guitar melody, emotive piano riffs, and a hopeful piano arpeggiator for fully blissed-out anticipation. The hook features pitched-up vocals, which fit well into the electro house atmosphere with a catchy piano melody he created around them. It’s a main stage anthem in the making.
The splendid duet comes after Guetta’s residency announcement, returning back to Ushuaïa Ibiza this year. He also released a track from his Jack Back house alias, “Body Beat,” off Mark Knight’s Toolroom shop with the help of Tom Staar.
