David Guetta shares high-octane Hardwell & Olly James remix of ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’
Legendary DJ and producer David Guetta has shared a massive Hardwell & Olly James remix of his recent smash single ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ with Grammy-nominated OneRepublic.
With the original at 62 million streams and counting since its release last month, the new hardcore remix by Dutch Big Room legend Hardwell and UK producer Olly James gives ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ a breathless high BPM update, adding huge synth riffs and pulsating snare build ups.
Hardwell has carved out a long-lasting legacy within the electronic music world throughout his expansive career as a successful DJ, producer, remixer, label boss, filmmaker, and philanthropist.
The former 2x World No. 1 DJ is renowned for prior global hits like ‘Spaceman‘ and ‘Apollo‘ and, more recently, since his stylistic shift, for propelling the Big Room Techno scene with his second studio album REBELS NEVER DIE and preceding singles like ‘Revolution‘, ‘16’, ‘The Abyss‘, ‘Judgement Day‘ and ‘Acid‘.
Frequent collaborator Olly James is a DJ/Producer from the UK and founder of the Rave Room movement that aims to take big room to higher tempos and energy levels.
David Guetta and OneRepublic’s collaboration ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ is becoming yet another global smash for the French icon – not surprising given its euphoric chorus, infectious melodies and 3x Grammy winning OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder’s unmistakable vocals on the poignant verses.
Now up to 62M global streams (climbing a massive 38% this week), ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ hit a new Spotify peak of #89 on the global chart this week, as well as charting in 27 markets and hitting the top 50 across 12 markets.
Guetta also shared the official music video for the track last week, set against the sun-drenched backdrop of Miami and featuring footage from his huge Ultra Miami premiere of the track, with 5M YouTube views under its belt already.
