Deadmau5 dropped a heaving two-hour Essential Mix

Canadian producer and general tweaker deadmau5 has been pretty prolific of late dropping new music, scoring a Netflix movie and some slightly concerning twitter bant but has thankfully focused on music with a two-hour Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 – his second in nearly 11 years.

The mix comes ahead of his scheduled performance at Ultra Miami this weekend and the first showing of his live show Cube 3.0.

His mix is an interesting platter of sounds with the first hour dedicated to his techno alias Testpilot which is filled with romping cuts from Nic Fanciulli, Pig&Dan, Julian Jeweil and a new one dubbed “Fall”, while the second features a classic filling of deadmau5 classics. In it you’ll hear the blissful “Moar Ghosts N Stuff”, “Strobe and more.

Can’t say we were prepared for this one but after listen it’s everything we needed and more… now deadmau5, stick the music stuff ok?
