Dimension to debut multi-sensory show with new 3D printed controller

Drum ‘n’ bass artist Dimension has revealed the upcoming details for his newest live setup that will highlight the forefront of cutting-edge technology. The UK act’s multi-sensory show features a custom-built controller built by a joint effort between Dimension and the team at INPLAS. The 3D printed plastic controller has a transparent aesthetic and nine instruments for complete control over audio and lights. It also holds “scentology” tech that will emit fragrances during specific times of the show.

INPLAS has previously worked with notable clients including George Lucas, HBO, and Ridley Scott. With creative proclivity towards architectural design and aesthetics, Dimension and his artistic ventures have frequently evoked bold explorations of music and its accompanying visual spaces. The two parties’ collaboration on an equal parts technologically advanced and visually stunning product made complete sense as a move for Dimension.

The “Automatik” producer will debut his setup at Electric Brixton on October 5. The show will also see the largest LED screen ever to be installed at the venue. Final tier tickets can be accessed here. No other Dimension Live dates have been announced yet.

“Dimension came to us with a vision of wanting to create a show-stopping piece that nobody else on this planet has ever owned or has ever seen. We managed to turn Dimension’s vision for a showpiece into an unbelievable reality by designing and producing a totally bespoke performance structure, made entirely from clear acrylic”, Steven O’Hallrahan of INPLAS.
