Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman x Mike Perry – Coming Home

• Heart-touching melody
• Strong, emotional and passionate vocals
• Perfect balance between tropical and progressive vibes

When we talk about Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, we are talking about quality progressive music. These guys are one of the most reputed frontliners of this festival spectrum, thanks to their astonishing and brutal numbers like “ID8” and “Pacifier”. Mike Perry is an underrated artist who brought us the magnificent “The Ocean” in 2016, an established producer in the tropical house scene, and now, they have collaborated to bring us a melodic and uncut gem. As always, our beloved duo hasn’t hesitated to go the extra mile and surprise us with their latest work

The emotional mood commences with the first note, the vocals are heart-warming and it is implausible to not get sentimentally invested in the track while you are hearing it, this vibe is pleasurably befitting and reminiscent of when I saw my best friend for the first time after many days, during this quarantine. It is a beautifully etched melody, I can’t remember any song which gave me such strong feelings lately, brilliant!

Some vocal parts are laden with spacial effects and it grants a much sublime tonality. The hook is gorgeous and, of course, has the potential to give goosebumps. Mike and DV&W did a fantastic job of amalgamating vibes of two different genres here, the sounds are having the signature progressive sound while the melody is inspired by tracks from Mike’s discography, like “Inside the Lines”.

I must say that if you want to introduce someone to EDM during this period, as a personal recommendation you must try it with this song. What DV&W and Mike Perry have crafted is extraordinary, it’s passion for the music they have exhibited countless other times. The goosebumps this oeuvre gave me will not disappear in a long time to come. “Coming Home” perhaps could feel repetitive slightly, however the atmosphere projected is indelible!
