Discogs, the world’s leading music database and marketplace, will donate all revenue from sales made on January 17th to support those affected by the Los Angeles fires.

Through MusiCares, the Recording Academy’s non-profit organization, the funds will provide affected music industry professionals with evacuation assistance, housing, medical care, and mental health support. The fires’ devastating impact has deeply affected many in the music community.

Jeffrey Smith, a Discogs executive, emphasized the vital role of community support during this crisis. He explained that every purchase made this Friday would serve two purposes: supporting independent sellers while helping rebuild LA’s music scene through MusiCares. Smith highlighted the music community’s united strength in helping those affected by this disaster.
