British electronic artist DMX Krew, also known as Edward Upton, has released a new album, ‘Unlikely Seeming’. This 8-track collection highlights Upton’s distinct style, featuring euphoric synth melodies and analogue drum machines.
‘Unlikely Seeming’ offers a lighter sound that channels an 80s pop vibe. The album’s lead single, ‘Wednesday Memory’, has been highly praised by Tom Ravenscroft of BBC 6 Music.
The album boasts a variety of tracks that display the artist’s creative talent. Notable songs include the dance-ready ‘Continuation’ and the retro-inspired title track ‘Unlikely Seeming’.
The LP concludes with a remix of the title track by Break Mode, providing a spiritual and uplifting sound. It also features unique artwork by Richard Hunt from the Shadowlight Collective.
DMX Krew has a successful career that spans three decades, with music released on respected labels like Rephlex, Central Processing Unit, and Gudu. His sound blends synth-pop, electro, and Italo disco, evoking a sense of nostalgia.
