Don Diablo forays into the comic realm with new 'Hexagon' series
Don Diablo has announced his expansion into the comic world with the announcement of Hexagon, a five-part sci-fi series written by the Dutch DJing sensation himself. Hexagon aims to hit the sweet spot between youth and nostalgia entertainment, offering kids an action-packed space-opera with enough retro flair to keep mom and dad interested, too.
The official synopsis reads…
“Don sneaks out with his friends to an all-night game-a-thon with the intention of impressing a girl. Don overshoots the mark, and to everyone’s surprise, on his first quarter ever, he’s able to beat the game everyone called ‘impossible to beat.’ In an instant, his world is turned upside down when his victory triggers an alien invasion and sucks him into an intergalactic battle that has been raging for years.”
Diablo announced the comic book on Facebook on Oct. 1, describing the comic as a dream come true. The first issue of the series will preview during day two of New York’s Comic-Con this week with 200 copies being handed out for free, however, the official launch for the series is set for spring of 2020.
Hexagon is the second series from Impact Theory Comics, the first of which starred Steve Aoki in a six-issue sage, Neon Future.
